My name is Sam Stiner and I am a lifelong resident of Colorado. I am currently living and working in Arvada Colorado. I have been painting for 8 years and have completed a 6-month residency at The Walnut Gallery, and I have displayed solo exhibitions at Trident Booksellers and Cafe, Ziggi's Coffee, and Inkberry Books. I believe that the line between philosophy and art is non-existent, and I view my paintings, drawings and sculptures as the abstract-surrealist, and abstract-absurdist response to post-modern thought. I use non-representational techniques to convey post-modern existentialism and anarcho-socialist ideology, and to provide a window into the struggles of living with bipolar disorder in a late-stage capitalist society.
I have been influenced by Elaine de Kooning, Vasily Kandinsky, Peter Kropotkin, Angela Davis, and Aldus Huxley.
Please feel free to contact me in regard to anything involving art and thank you for taking the time to view my work.
